Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Advisor

Visy is a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, and we're seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to join our team.

About the Role:

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our environmental health and safety initiatives across our Queensland operations. As an Environmental Health and Safety Advisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, developing and implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety practices and provide guidance to site leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide training and coaching to site leaders and employees on safety and sustainability best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain safety data management systems to track and analyze safety performance.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an environmental health and safety role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and influence at all levels.
