Senior Adult Mental Health Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Adult Mental Health Physician to join our multidisciplinary team in Taree, offering a unique blend of country charm and natural beauty. The role involves providing high-quality patient-focused management and care to admitted and non-admitted patients, families, and carers through regular ward rounds, clinical handover clinics, and on-call consultations.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in adult mental health, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They will also be able to educate and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and team members.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based patient-focused management and care through regular ward rounds, clinical handover clinics, and on-call consultations.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships to ensure team success, facilitate change, build consensus, and respond to concerns raised by the team and patients.
- Educate and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and team members in accordance with relevant training organisation standards.
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
