  • Create detailed designs for vehicle structures based on flight loads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop structural concepts that balance mass, cost, and capability.
  • Develop CAD models in NX for components, assemblies, and vehicle integration.
  • Build finite element models to assess design performance and analyze structural integrity.
  • Apply first-order hand calculations and empirical formulas to rapidly assess and iterate on designs.
  • Validate designs through testing and analysis of individual joints and design elements.
  • Perform structural testing on subassemblies and full sections of the airframe.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineers to improve design efficiency.
  • Support the assembly of hardware in the factory and witness designs being brought to life daily.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience designing, analyzing, or building structures (internship and school projects qualify).

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive significant outcomes.
  • Proven application of passion and curiosity to learn and complete impactful projects.
  • Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing.

  • Ability to make informed executive decisions.
  • Experience leading or participating in engineering competitions.
