Role Overview:

The Administration/Billing Officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient processing of private billing, Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), and addressing rejected claims within a healthcare setting. The role focuses on ensuring timely, accurate billing, resolving claim rejections, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process private billing and Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) claims
  • Resolve rejected claims and address any associated issues
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems, including MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel
  • Utilize experience working with various systems

Essential Qualifications:

  • Prior administration experience in a health care setting
  • Understanding and experience supporting MBS clinics in a similar environment
  • Familiarity with confidentiality and privacy legislation
  • Knowledge of Cerner programs
  • Comprehension of medical terminology and experience with Medicare billing processes
