Position Overview

The Distribution Center Associate plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the distribution center, focusing on the efficient handling of products while prioritizing Safety, Service, Cost, and Teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly report all incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards to the Distribution Center Manager.
  • Safely handle products in accordance with safety protocols and training.
  • Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Safe Working Practices (SWPs) as outlined in the National Safety Plan.
  • Implement training and processes aimed at minimizing incidents and injuries.
  • Receive and process inventory into the warehouse following company guidelines.
  • Transfer inventory to designated storage locations as per established procedures.
  • Accurately pick inventory to designated picking lanes in line with company standards.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisors or Managers across various business areas, including cleaning, receiving, returns, dispatch, and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance safety and operational procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Embrace teamwork to achieve shared objectives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the distribution center.
Qualifications
  • Prior warehouse experience is essential.
  • LO license is mandatory; LF license is preferred.
  • Experience with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong focus on safety with knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
  • Possesses a proactive and positive attitude.
Additional Information
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Work schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
