Their site requires a new Distribution Manager to join the team and run the warehouse and distribution on their shift.

The Role & Responsibilities: As the Distribution Manager, you will oversee and manage all storage and distribution activities to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising a team of warehouse and distribution staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and morale.
  • Developing and implementing distribution strategies to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Managing daily operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing temperature controlled.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring the accuracy of stock records.
  • Coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless and timely deliveries.
  • Analyzing and reporting on distribution metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the distribution center.
  • Handling any issues related to logistics and transportation to minimise disruptions.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors, clients, and service providers.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a smiliar role within a temperature controlled site, preferably in a 3PL environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Prior exposure to a fast paced retail FMCG environment.
  • Solid understanding of storage, inbound, and outbound operations. 
  • Experience with inventory management systems and logistics software.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset.
