About the Job

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Consultant to join our team. As an Employment Consultant, you will support and guide clients to attain suitable employment opportunities that lead to sustainable employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders as part of managing the referral & intake process of job seekers into their chosen program.
  • Assessment of job seeker skills, abilities, identification of barriers and intervention strategies.
  • In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers) and employment support activities.
  • Reverse marketing of job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
  • Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.

You will use your customer service skills to build rapport with your clients, assist them on their employment journey and to overcome barriers to employment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Communication skills, attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use computer systems, excellent data accuracy & note taking.
  • Build rapport, grow & maintain relationships with clients, peers, & jobseekers.
  • Enjoy achieving KPI's – we are securing meaningful work for vulnerable individuals.
  • Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening check or are willing to obtain one.
