System Design Expert

We are seeking an experienced System Design Expert to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the development and implementation of cutting-edge systems that meet the needs of our clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning. You will lead verification and validation efforts, ensuring user needs are met through design and related activities.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing systems architecture, configuration, and change management processes to enhance system safety, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
  • Facilitating workshops to identify risks and controls to enhance Systems Safety, RAM, Human Factors implementation in design and delivery.
  • Leading engagement and close coordination with project leadership and stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and support safety case submissions.
  • Generating technical management plans and supporting integration and interfacing with external projects and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship and/or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance (essential)
  • Bachelor of Engineering / Science Degree.
  • Experience within regulated industries / frameworks (desirable)
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience (desirable)
  • System safety and assurance experience (desirable)
  • Professional body membership (highly regarded)
  • Experienced in the application of systems engineering tools (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communications, client management/stakeholder engagement (highly regarded).
