Job Summary

The Process Control Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development, maintenance and optimization of instrumentation and control systems across the plant. This includes ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Improve Engineering Solutions
  • Review and improve process control strategies to maximize system performance.
  • PID tuning for optimal results.
  • Alarm rationalization for streamlined operations.
  • Software updates and patches for control systems.
  • Effective reporting and documentation.
  • Maintenance and configuration of instrumentation and related infrastructure.
  • Implementation of changes according to management protocols.
  • Commissioning and setup of VSDs, DOLs, network switches, instrumentation and other equipment.
  • Asset analysis and predictive maintenance planning.
  • Risk assessment and mitigation using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures.
  • Participation in fault finding and failure investigations with subsequent rectification work.
  • Staying up-to-date on control system developments and advancements.
  • Guidance and mentorship of electrical technicians within the control and instrumentation environment.
