About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Skilled Labourer to join our Civil Operations team at Sutherland Shire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our maintenance works and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with site preparation and operate machinery as required.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintained.
  • Contribute to the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance/restoration and construction works on civil assets.
  • Maintain and construct Council's civil assets, including road and stormwater infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in civil construction or related fields is preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of $56,839 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • A 9-day fortnight with 38 hours of work per week.
