About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Foreperson to join our Civil Operations team at Sutherland Shire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and executing various construction projects across the Sutherland Shire and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise field operations and ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement best practices within the team to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
  • Train new team members and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Certifications/Licences in relevant areas (Trade Certificate, Class C Drivers Licence, White Card) are mandatory.
