About the Role

The Civil Leading Hand will play a crucial role in managing site operations, leading a team of skilled workers, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. This role supports the Team Leader in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance/restoration works and completes all assigned works using best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities on civil assets, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Lead a team of skilled workers and foster a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Manage site operations, including scheduling, material management, and liaising with the Team Leader and Supervisors.
  • Ensure all works are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, in compliance with council's applicable Policies and Operating Procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within civil operations.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.

  • A competitive salary package, including a gross annual salary of $67,752 plus 11.5% superannuation.
