Casual Teaching Artist Opportunities for Performing Arts

NIDA Open is an open-access program of un-accredited education courses and learning experiences throughout the year. We deliver a cross section of performing arts training to children, young people, adults, pre-professionals, and established artists.
Our teaching artists are industry professionals who collaborate with our program management team to teach classes within their areas of expertise and interest.
Teaching Opportunities at NIDA OpenWe are currently seeking experienced teaching artists to work across our programs for children and young people aged 2-18 years and adult short course programs.
This is a casual teaching opportunity based in Melbourne. As a teaching artist at NIDA Open, you will have the chance to share your passion for the performing arts with students of all ages and skill levels.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with program management to develop and implement curriculum content
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
We are looking for teaching artists who possess:
- Extensive experience in the performing arts industry
- Strong teaching and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and environments
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in performing arts education
The estimated salary range for this role is $40-$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
