As a Service Technician with Med-X, you will be responsible for providing clinical waste disposal services to our diverse client base in the Sydney region and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving in the Sydney region and occasionally in regional surrounding areas, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Delivering and collecting clinical and medical bins, sharps containers, and related products, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conducting daily vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are maintained, safe, and clean, preventing potential hazards.
  • Completing all service paperwork, accurately documenting essential information.
  • Weighing and recording vehicle load weights, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements include:

  • 1+ years of driving experience, preferably with a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck License and a clean driving record.
  • Previous commercial driving experience, with multi-drop deliveries being a significant advantage.
  • A strong customer focus, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use smartphone technologies and work independently, as part of a close-knit team environment.
  • Willingness to work in both metropolitan and regional areas, with varying start times and occasional overnight runs.
  • Safe manual handling skills, with regular lifting and moving of 660ltr bins.
  • Hard-working, punctual, and reliable nature, with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Alignment with Med-X's Values of Safe, Smart, Sustainable, and Service.

Med-X offers a competitive market rate, a $100 allowance per day for overnight runs, and a range of benefits, including employee shopping discounts, employee assistance programs, and more.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to be eligible to live and work in Australia, undertake a pre-employment medical assessment, and meet specific immunisation requirements, including COVID-19 vaccinations.
