This exciting opportunity is available for a highly skilled administrative professional to work as a Senior Research Officer.
The role involves coordinating the Funding Application Review process, managing Grant Review Committees, and working with the broader Research Team to coordinate an annual research grants funding calendar.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Funding Application Review process annually within agreed parameters.
- Manage Grant Review Committees and provide secretariat support (e.g. minutes, agendas, etc.).
- Work with the Research Team to coordinate and implement the annual research grants funding calendar.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including academics, funding agencies, and consumers.
- Maintain accurate records, draft reports, and ensure that funding guidelines and associated materials are kept up to date.
- Provide induction for new researchers to build engagement with, and an understanding of, the research program.
- Develop and continuously improve operating processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other members of the Research Team and the broader Health Research & Innovation Teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and administering programs where you have developed and implemented operating processes and procedures.
- A proven ability to plan and manage an annual work cycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing consumers or volunteers in a research context is desirable.
- Knowledge of data management systems is also desirable.
- Familiarity with the research and/or research management sector, preferably in a research funding context, is highly desirable.
