Electrical Design Expert

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

Your Role Will Include:

  • In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects.
  • A fundamental understanding of key Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1 and AS/NZS 2067.
  • Effective client interfacing and communication skills.
  • Experience in detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Proficiency with power systems software.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • At least 5 years' experience working on industrial projects, delivering process plant projects, energy sector, water sector or mining projects.
  • Applied knowledge of 'in-plant' electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems.
  • Ability to interact proactively with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to support project deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed designs for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on electrical distribution systems and motor control systems.
