About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to lead our Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Department as a Team Leader. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational direction and leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery.
  • Manage and allocate resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in Physiotherapy.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level guidance, leadership, and management of resources and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete, and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
  • Negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
About Us

The Sutherland Hospital offers a comprehensive range of inpatient, community, and outpatient healthcare services to the residents of the Sutherland Shire. We have over 375 inpatient beds and each year we care for more than 60,000 patients in our Emergency Department and around 28,000 patients are admitted to our hospital.

Our community teams provide supportive care to, and assist with hospital avoidance for, our local residents across 17 multidisciplinary services.
