We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team due to continued growth.

This role offers both challenge and growth in equal measure.

  • Own FBT compliance across the Group – capture & reconcile monthly data for every entity and lead year-end return lodgement.
  • Oversee preparation and submit BAS / IAS for both monthly and quarterly lodging entities.
  • Take ownership of Taxable Payment Annual Reporting and Payment Times reporting obligations of the group.
  • Oversee Project and Retention Trust Account compliance within the QBCC legislative framework.
  • Administer the corporate credit-card & expense platform – manage user matrix and ERP integrations.
  • Coach Assistant Accountants on balance-sheet reconciliation.
  • Validate foreign-currency payables and support hedge management – partner with Treasury & Commercial Analysts to keep FX exposures within limits.
  • Build strong partnerships with every business division to ensure best-practice compliance and deliver clear, value-adding reports across the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement – automate tax, credit-card and reconciliation workflows via ERP queries & Power BI; document SOPs and upskill the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Manage financial processes including FBT compliance, BAS submissions, and tax payments.
  • Account Management: Administer corporate credit cards and expenses, and coach assistant accountants on balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Treasury Management: Validate foreign currency payables and support hedge management to maintain FX exposure limits.
  • Business Partnerships: Build strong relationships with business divisions to ensure best practice compliance and deliver valuable reports.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Australian FBT, GST, and PAYG legislation (CPA/CA qualified or final stages).
  • Experience: Construction-focused ERPs highly regarded.
  • Data Capability: Advanced Excel and Power Query skills.
