Critical Care Specialist

The successful applicant will provide onsite 24/7 medical care, assessment and coordination of patients within the ICU/HDU.
They will work between two sites as required and agreed, furthering their career in these advanced and well-equipped ICUs.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the provision of critical care to patients within Intensive Care Units, including providing clinical advice and support to practitioners for patients.
- Efficiently manage admissions and discharges to Intensive Care in coordination with the in-charge nurse when on duty.
- Participate in the Intensive Care roster, including out-of-hour commitments.
- Demonstrated competence and experience in providing high quality, compassionate medical care within an Intensive Care Unit.
- Able to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in periods of high activity.
- Commitment to teaching and supervision of students, trainees and staff including medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
- Appropriate qualifications and registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for full registration within 12 months.
- Completion of PGY3 or above, with a minimum of 6 months' experience within ICU and 12 months of anaesthetics training prior to joining our team.
- International medical graduate applicants are welcomed from Competent Authorities countries and other countries with similar healthcare systems, subject to appropriate AHPRA registration pathway.
