Job Summary

This role involves providing in-home care and assisting participants with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and medication administration.

You will also be responsible for supporting the participant to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment by assisting with domestic duties.

  • Empowering participants to achieve their personal goals and fostering independence through active support and advocacy.

Close collaboration with an Area Manager is expected to provide guidance, training, and ongoing support ensuring best practices are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • At least 1 year of experience in disability sector or related field.
  • Previous experience working with clients with dementia and behaviors of concern is highly desirable.
  • Experience with mobility aids and hoists is essential.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certificates are mandatory.
  • Certificate III in Disability or higher qualification is required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build meaningful connections with participants are crucial.
  • Commitment to person-centered practices advocating for autonomy and well-being of each individual.
  • Organizational skills and proactive approach to care delivery are necessary.
  • NDIS Workers Check and valid NSW Driver's License (or equivalent) are desirable.
