Role Overview

Specialist mental health services are provided to a large population in the Rockhampton region through the Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.

Key Responsibilities

A Senior Psychologist will be responsible for providing high-level clinical services and leadership within the multidisciplinary Prison Mental Health Service team. The role entails forensic mental health care through timely and responsive service provision to meet the objectives of the PMHS.

Qualifications and Eligibility
  • A degree in Psychology (Honours or Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution is required, along with full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current annual practicing certificate.
  • Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
