Job Summary:

  • The Piping Designer will carry out basic piping design tasks in accordance with project requirements and standards.
  • Piping Designers use vendor drawings and information sheets to develop models, piping Material Take Offs (MTOs), and locate standard pipe supports in the model.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design special pipe supports with piping stress analyst input
  2. Attend formal design reviews
  3. Prepare stress sketches
  4. Produce piping General Arrangement (GA) and equipment location drawings under supervision

Requirements:

  • Advanced Diploma of Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum three years piping design experience
  • Good understanding of Hatch Health, Safety, Environmental and Community (HSEC) policy and standards

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards
  • Experience with Bentley and/or Intergraph 3D design systems
  • Modeling skills in a 3D environment
