A plasterer is required to work on various tasks primarily under the direction of a supervisor. The role involves providing guidance and support to apprentices and labourers as needed, while executing all duties in a professional and timely manner with a focus on health and safety.

The position requires:

- Reading drawings and scopes for renovations where plastering is necessary
- Laying out plasterboard, cutting and positioning it
- Fixing plasterboard, cornice, mouldings and ceiling panels to ceilings and battens
- Installing insulation and vapour barriers
- Repairing damaged surfaces using plaster to patch holes and cover joins, smoothing and sandpapering to finish
- Mixing plaster, cement and render and applying, and where required creating decorative textures
- Installing acoustic and fireproofing materials with plaster

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, local shire and other relevant codes and standards.
- Work executed must meet tradesman like standard, quality and be completed in a timely manner.
- Works must comply with all OH&S requirements.
- Material, labour, plant and equipment must be used as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Stay up-to-date with any advances in the building sector.
- Maintain a full tool kit to enable effective execution of duties.
- Adhere to safe work practices, instructions and rules.
- Immediately report any unsafe work conditions or equipment and workplace incidents to management.
- Operate vehicles, plant and equipment in a proper manner and ensure professional appearance.
- Cooperate with all other personnel to enable the health, safety and environmental responsibilities of the Company and Clients to be achieved.

Job Requirements:

- Certificate I - IV (required)
- Trade experience: 3 years (required)
- Driving licence (required)

- 10 hour shift
