As the Regional Sales Leader for the ANZ region specializing in Mass Spectrometry, you will oversee a dedicated team of technical sales professionals who collaborate with clients in our Life Science Mass Spectrometry (LSMS) and Inorganic Mass Spectrometry (IOMS) product lines.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the team fosters strong customer relationships, identifies growth opportunities within both existing and prospective clients, and guarantees market penetration and profitability while meeting sales and profit targets. This role is ideal for a seasoned expert who merges technical knowledge with commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the strategic vision for the ANZ region regarding the product portfolio; manage a sales team (including product specialists and business development personnel) to implement sales strategies that align with business objectives and expand market presence.
  • Enhance commercial effectiveness across the team, ensuring they develop and sustain a robust pipeline of opportunities to achieve or surpass sales goals.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction and uphold the broader Thermo Fisher value proposition. Cultivate relationships with key clients throughout the region through regular sales engagements and a partnership-oriented approach.
  • Analyze competitor and industry trends, staying informed about new products/services and relevant information that may interest clients, integrating this knowledge into the business strategy; facilitate the introduction of new offerings.
  • Collaborate on product and marketing strategies with global and regional teams to drive exceptional business performance that leverages market opportunities.
  • Provide application support to enhance customer experiences with our platforms and solutions.
  • Demonstrate initiative in developing programs that promote growth in various economic climates.
  • Maintain precise reporting, documentation, and records essential for effective regional management.
  • Guide and develop team members, establishing career pathways and succession plans.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at all times during client interactions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
  • Five years of experience in complex instrumentation sales.
  • Five years in a leadership role (preferred).
  • Experience with LSMS and HPLC (preferred).
