Job Title: Business Development Manager - Oncology and Genomics

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing the company's clinical business development strategy across key clients.
The goal is to deliver breakthrough technology solutions that enable clients to enhance patient management. Our product portfolio includes next-generation sequencing, which focuses on supporting genomics in clinical settings with oncology being a key area of interest.
Key Responsibilities- Represent Thermo Fisher in strategic clinical settings, including government, industry, and clinical clients. Influence and collaborate with industry stakeholders to drive the adoption and implementation of new tests across Australia and New Zealand.
- Focus on business development, build a short- and long-term funnel captured in the CRM and develop a comprehensive business plan to exceed expectations.
- Identify, develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, key decision-makers, or potential influencers across the territory to grow and promote the business.
- Stay up-to-date with market changes, competitive landscape, and client needs to quickly adjust and respond to dynamic market opportunities.
- Manage key processes, including annual price agreement renewal, sales funnels, forecasting, CRM, mobility, territory, and account planning, as well as driving excellence in process that enables the team and customers.
- Build and manage existing accounts and prospect for new business to drive footprint growth in this emerging segment and contribute to sales growth.
- Partner with local sales, marketing, FAS, and FSE teams to build business opportunities and coordinate a company approach with customers.
- Meet revenue and annual sales targets as set each year for the defined territory and contribute to regional goals.
- Expectation of 30% travel.
- Tertiary qualifications in Science and strong life science knowledge, particularly in genomics, are preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry-specific Business Development/Sales experience, preferably in a life science area.
- Proven understanding of the local ANZ clinical market and key customers is an advantage, along with technical knowledge of NGS, Oncology, and Reproductive Health products.
- Ideal candidate has strong Customer Relationship Building and effective communication skills.
