Production Operations Supervisor

This position oversees welding and fabrication operations. The supervisor leads a skilled team, ensures quality and safety standards are maintained, and coordinates the completion of projects on time and to specification.

  • The supervisor is responsible for overseeing fabrication jobs from drawings through to completion.
  • Key responsibilities include leading, supervising, and coordinating a team of welders, fabricators, and apprentices.
  • The supervisor creates and manages weld maps, fabrication schedules, and WPS documentation.
  • They conduct welder qualification testing and manage weld/material traceability.
  • The supervisor reviews drawings and ensures all work meets quality and specification requirements.
  • Liaison with project managers and engineers to coordinate workflow.
Requirements
  • A trade qualification in Fabrication or Boilermaking.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in welding and structural/piping supervision or workshop management.
  • AS1796 Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor (preferred) or equivalent IIW qualification.
