We are seeking a motivated Trades Training Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee apprentices' progress through their on and off the job training, ensuring required skills and competencies are developed effectively.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Monitor apprentices' progress and work closely with managers/supervisors to ensure they are provided with opportunities and support to develop all required skills.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to apprentices.
- Review apprentice RTO feedback/results and logbooks, adapting workplace training as required and coordinating any re-sits/re-enrolments with apprentice/supervisor to ensure requirements are met.
- Liaise closely with RTOs to understand the training and competency requirements for apprentices.
- Implement training tools in a thorough and high-quality manner to train apprentices and verify their competency levels.
- Work with HR to ensure all records are kept current with progress.
- Collaborate with workshop managers to enable maximum use of existing training systems and resources throughout the organisation/locations.
- Continuously monitor apprentice and trade workplace training quality and initiate necessary changes to ensure these services are achieving their objectives.
- Assist in the development of new procedures and processes to further enhance trade knowledge
- Facilitate Trade Upgrades and Dual Training Process for nominated workers.

**Requirements:**

- Hold a Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Mechanic highly regarded)
- Possess a Certificate IV - Training & Assessment qualification.
- Have previous experience in the coordination of workplace training and apprentices/trades.
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of the mining industry and heavy earthmoving machinery.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Display effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
