**Engineering Trades Australia** is a progressive Australian Labour Hire organisation, that specialises purely in the Fabrication and Engineering Industry.

**Our client** has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
**HSE Advisor/Coordinator**
- 2:1 Roster - day shift only
- Contract basis
- Scope of Work: Solar farm installation for BHP at the BHP Northern Goldfields Mine Site
- Location : Nickel West Induction

**Responsibilities include (but not limited to)**:

- Ensuring all health and safety policies and systems are fit for purpose, compliant and according to the overall objectives of the organisation
- Reviewing Contractor SWMS/JSA'S, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions prior to commencement of work and performing SWMS Compliance Audits throughout the duration of the project.
- Ensuring all workers/contractors are inducted and aware of the site evacuation and emergency
- Advising the Project Manager of the state of Health and Safety as applied to the project.
- Maintaining the Project Risk Register and updating as new work practices and hazards arise.
- Ensuring contractors provide a register of hazardous materials that is maintained on site and that a SDS is available for each substance.
- Undertaking regular Safety system audits and producing high quality safety management audit reports.
- Reviewing training records and qualifications to ensure each person is competent to perform tasks associated with their position.
- Monitoring and recommending disciplinary actions for the breach of project Safety requirements, to ensure a consistent approach to all breaches.

**Requirements**:

- Previous mining/construction site based experience
- Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety
- Construction Card
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite - MS Word and MS Excel
- First Aid/CPR
- Ability to communicate assertively and effectively with management, trades staff and client representatives
- "C" class Motor Vehicle License
