Job Title: School Link Mental Health Clinician

The role of a mental health clinician in schools is pivotal in fostering the wellbeing of children and young individuals.

  • This position plays a key part in bridging health and education sectors to support the overall wellbeing of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Mental health care delivery in school settings
  2. Early identification and referral of at-risk students
  3. Suicide prevention and complex behavior management
  4. Clinical education, consultation, and service planning
  5. Contribution to research, policy, and model of care development

Requirements:

  1. Fully registered Psychologist with Master's degree; Social Worker and Occupational Therapist as per award
  2. AHPRA full registration for Psychologist & Occupational Therapist; AASW membership eligibility for Social Worker
  3. Proven clinical experience working with children/youth in mental health or educational setting
  4. Understanding and experience working with schools
  5. Able to work collaboratively across professions and services
  6. Able to manage high volume of work within deadlines
  7. Knowledge of promotion, prevention, early intervention, and evidence-based practice in mental health
  8. Able to collaborate meaningfully with children, young people, and carers/families with commitment to recovery principles
  9. Current valid Australian driver's licence
