The Wellbeing Workforce initiative aims to provide support to Queensland state school students.
A wellbeing professional is required to lead the establishment of wellbeing services in schools and deliver necessary supports to students.
About The Role
As a specialist member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will offer therapeutic support to students with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.
Assess student mental health needs to inform appropriate interventions.
Deliver individual and group interventions addressing mental health concerns.
Collaborate with schools' leadership and student support teams to inform student support planning and provide advice to teachers on supporting students' mental health.
Develop referral and case management processes for service delivery.
Coordinate referrals to external agencies and work collaboratively with networks and stakeholders to ensure access to relevant supports.
Provide guidance and assistance to families to support student mental health.
Support school communities in responding to critical incidents as part of the school response team.
Candidates will be assessed according to responsibilities and their respective role descriptions.
Senior professionals may have opportunities for discipline-specific supervision and growth of wellbeing services across the region.
