Business Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our business development group, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities in the rail systems space with a focus on Queensland Rail and state agencies.

You will identify opportunities, shape proposals, and work closely with our technical leaders to promote our specialist capabilities across signalling, systems, and OHW/OHE. Your primary goal will be to help position us for upcoming projects, including upgrades, brownfields integration, and digital systems rollouts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow our presence in the Queensland market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Queensland Rail, state agencies, and delivery partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including tendering and proposal writing.
  • Work closely with our technical leaders to develop and pitch proposals that showcase our expertise.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform our business development strategy.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in business development or account management within the rail or infrastructure sector (signalling, OHE, systems engineering).
  • Strong network within Queensland's rail ecosystem, including Queensland Rail, state agencies, and delivery partners.
  • Ability to build trust, spot opportunities, and open doors.
  • Comfortable working in a technical consulting environment with engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
