Job Title: Operational Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and organized Operational Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily tasks and responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, logistics, or customer service and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are also essential requirements.

You will be responsible for allocating and scheduling daily tasks, monitoring routes and driver schedules, and providing end-of-day debriefs. Additionally, you will ensure that timelines, breaks, and schedule gaps are properly managed and help oversee training and inductions.

You will collaborate closely with our Customer Service team to manage access to sites, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality service. Your role will involve tracking break times and service completion, following up on driver inductions and trainings, and updating business systems with current schedules and customer information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate and schedule daily tasks for drivers and vehicles
  • Debrief drivers' operations, checking timelines, breaks, and performance
  • Track break times and service completion
  • Follow up on driver inductions and trainings
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to resolve service issues and schedule access
  • Update and maintain business systems with current schedules and customer information
  • Liaise with drivers and internal teams to ensure efficient operations
  • Identify and help resolve operational issues
  • Produce reports as required for internal and external use

Requirements:

  • Experience in scheduling, logistics, or customer service
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with waste management desirable
