Cyber Security Specialist

Our organization seeks a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to play a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital platforms and fostering a culture of cyber awareness among staff.

This is a full-time ongoing position based in Warrnambool.

The successful candidate will contribute significantly to shaping our strategic direction by mitigating cyber risks and aligning cybersecurity initiatives with our corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elevate our cybersecurity awareness program, creating engaging campaigns and training modules to address emerging threats and enhance user vigilance.
  • Develop compelling awareness materials including presentations, e-learning content, newsletters and infographics to promote secure practices.
  • Collaborate across business units to continuously identify, assess and understand cybersecurity risks in the context of people and technology.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal cybersecurity policies.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications, a diploma or recognized industry certification in technology, risk, education or business.
  • Substantial experience with cybersecurity concepts and processes in practice.
  • Industry certifications such as CRISC, CISSP or MCP are desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as NIST 800 series, ISO 27000 series or equivalent.
