Mackay West State School is a welcoming and well-established primary school located in the heart of West Mackay, proudly serving its community since 1923. The school is committed to supporting both experienced teachers and early career educators through strong mentoring, collaborative teams, and a culture focused on delivering the very best for every student.
With teaching vacancies advertised from Prep to Year 6 for 2026, we encourage applications from passionate educators interested in teaching across any year level and happy to work with teachers to consider their preferenes.
