Job Overview:

The NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Caseworker to join our team in the New England region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to address safety concerns and develop plans to keep families together.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and engage in complex problem solving to identify and address risk factors for children and young people.
  • Travel across the New England District as required to support cases and engage with families.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare or related discipline.
  • Experience working with expectant parents, prenatal cases, or in child protection assessment and case planning.
  • Able to build relationships and stakeholder engagement with health services.
  • Valid driver's license and paid working with children clearance number.
