About You
  • Bachelor's degree in construction or a related field
Position Summary

The Estimator plays a critical role in ensuring the feasibility of projects by conducting thorough cost estimations. This involves working closely with stakeholders to adjust cost estimates as needed, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on time.

Key Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in the infrastructure industry
  • Proven ability to determine key variables for cost and other estimates
  • Experience in reading design plans, developing cost estimates, and gathering accurate information from sites, suppliers, and other venues
  • Strong knowledge of design, planning, and legislative requirements, as well as financial and project management principles
  • Familiarity with infrastructure construction processes and experience building relationships
  • Proficiency in using estimating tools and software, with confident negotiation skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a persistent approach to time management and high levels of enthusiasm, energy, and resourcefulness
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and computer skills, with a high degree of accountability and attention to detail
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from conception to planning and execution, ensuring seamless coordination of internal resources and third-party vendors
  • Gather proposals, specifications, and related documents needed for project estimates
  • Identify design and constructability issues, conduct analysis to determine constructability, and ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques, and report and escalate to management as needed
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, working in a safe manner and always following safety rules
