If it did, it would go against everything we stand for.

If it means something to us, we take the time to get it right. And our people mean everything to us. We don't just say it; we are building a business on the back of it.

We are looking for people who are excited by the possibility of tomorrow. A new journey. Something truly different. Exploring with people driven to push the boundaries and see what is over the horizon.

Your Opportunity

We are transforming the way projects are delivered but we need people with amazing skills, relevant knowledge and a burning belief that the better way is out there ready to be discovered.

We want individuals who aren't afraid to challenge the status quo, who embrace the tough moments and see them as opportunities to innovate and grow.

If you're ready to push the boundaries, work alongside a team that shares your drive, and take on a role where you can make a real impact, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We don't track time, or have a billable hour target, we back you to deliver. Just as our clients do.

About Source Projects

Source Projects is part of HPX Group, where finding a better path is at the heart of what we do. We don't just advise our clients we stand alongside them, learning and growing together to create lasting value for our people, clients, and community.

Our people-first culture means PX (people experience) drives the best CX (client experience). With values-driven leadership and the right culture, support, and systems, we empower our teams to do their best work and reimagine how things are done.

It's an approach that's earned us a spot on the AFR BOSS Best Places to Work - something we're incredibly proud of.

Specifically, what are we looking for?

We want to hear from people excited to join us as Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel in our Source Projects team.

As that part of our team, there are a few key deliverables. You'll collaborate with clients across a broad range of construction-focused matters as part of a team. You'll:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of construction contracts and related agreements
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to construction teams, businesses or asset owners, including as an extension of their internal team
  • Manage the legal risk across procurement, supply chains and contract frameworks as part of our Projects delivery team
  • Contribute to the development of processes, systems and delivery models to allow our team and our clients to deliver more, better.

You, your skills and experience

We want good humans.

Good humans are people that are interested, accountable, driven to make their world a better one and want to do it with others.

Where others see insurmountable obstacles, you see opportunity for growth. You know a better way exists, and you want to be part of the team that stretches to grab it.

You are curiously-minded, technically brilliant, and have:

  • Been admitted as a lawyer and practised either inhouse or in private practice (ideally both) for more than 5 years.
  • Experience in construction law, project advisory, or dispute resolution – or strong commercial law experience, with a genuine passion for construction & projects.
  • Strong expertise drafting and negotiating contracts – ideally including construction contracts, bespoke agreements and deeds.
  • Experience advising contractors, subcontractors, and principals (ideally including government and private sector clients).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex factual and contractual situations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience engaging with senior executives, clients, and industry experts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

You are already excited, but what else does our team bring to the table?

  • Be part of a supportive and high-performing team, with exciting clients and high-quality work.
  • Flexible working arrangements to help you be a good human.
  • Competitive remuneration, including equity opportunities through our Group's Equity plan and profit sharing arrangements.
  • An extra week of leave as part of our employee personal development program – because we believe in investing in you.
  • A fun, collaborative environment with regular social events, training days, and team retreats. We take pride in our culture
