About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solicitor to join our team in Canberra, Australia. As a key member of our personal injury law firm, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their claims, particularly those related to historical abuse matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in personal injury matters, focusing on historical abuse cases.
  • Manage a caseload of complex claims from initial consultation to resolution, including negotiations and court appearances.
  • Work closely with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their circumstances.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop legal strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in personal injury and abuse law.
The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in personal injury law, with demonstrated expertise in historical abuse matters.
  • A compassionate and client-focused approach, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and care.
  • Exceptional advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
  • Admission as a solicitor in Australia and a current practicing certificate.
