">Maintenance Services is comprised of three key sections: Marine Assets, Safety and Compliance, and State Waters. ">The Mechanical Tradesperson operates in a dynamic environment, providing critical maintenance and mechanical support for the River Murray Ferry Fleet. Key responsibilities include:
">- Carrying out routine plant/equipment maintenance tasks.
">- Conducting critical mechanical and hydraulic functions (including minor electrical tasks).
">- Coordinating labour, tools, materials and equipment where required.
">The incumbent will also be responsible for undertaking call outs, maintaining records, preparing reports, mentoring apprentices, guiding other trades and external contractors, and liaising with suppliers and the public.
">The Department provides lifting aids to facilitate day-to-day activities.
