About the Role

ACT Pathology is a department of Canberra Health Services offering a diagnostic pathology service to the ACT and surrounding region. The laboratory operates 24 hours, seven days a week, offering a wide range of testing procedures over two campuses. The main laboratory is located at the Canberra Hospital and the branch laboratory is located at the North Canberra Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpreting a range of Indirect Immunofluorescence assays such as Anti-nuclear antibodies, Tissue antibodies, Anti-Skin antibodies and Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies.
  • Performing and verifying assays using methods such as indirect immunofluorescence, ELISA, Chemiluminescence and Immunoblot.
  • Reviewing external quality assessment reports and previous experience undergoing laboratory accreditation assessments.
  • Supervising and training a team within Immunopathology.
Requirements
  • Experience interpreting a range of Indirect Immunofluorescence assays.
  • Experience performing and verifying assays using methods such as indirect immunofluorescence, ELISA, Chemiluminescence and Immunoblot.
  • Experience reviewing external quality assessment reports and previous experience undergoing laboratory accreditation assessments.
  • Experience supervising and training a team within Immunopathology.
