Job Title: Road Maintenance Leader

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead small teams in maintaining and constructing essential public infrastructure across the Northern Maintenance area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and maintenance activities, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise site workers and contractors to ensure successful project completion.
  • Read, interpret, and implement plans to maintain and construct assets such as roads, footpaths, drainage systems, parks, and flood mitigation structures.
  • Operate and maintain plant items and equipment including trucks, tractors, and rollers.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies within the community.
Requirements
  • School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in construction and/or maintenance activities.
  • Class MR Driver's License.
  • CURRENT NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or acceptable interstate alternative.
  • Traffic Controller certification.
