Science Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team at Hallam Secondary College. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs to students in Years 7-12.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for Science education and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering lessons, assessing student progress and providing feedback to students and parents. You will also be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of the Science curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Key Selection CriteriaThe successful candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
- Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, including a commitment to reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
