Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Service Assistant to join our team.

About the Role

This role is responsible for providing efficient, high-quality catering support services within our facility. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting our teams in delivering nutritious meals and refreshments while ensuring the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up each dining area ready for meal periods in line with standards.
  • Preparation of tea breaks and supper.
  • Washing dishes and cleaning according to the Food Safety Program.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served.
  • Assisting with meal preparation when required.
  • Monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Plan, such as temperatures, cleaning schedules, receipt of goods, etc.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to work as a team member, prioritise tasks, and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
