Workshop Asset & Facilities Manager

We are seeking a dynamic professional to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our workshop and depot facilities. This hands-on role involves leading a team, coordinating resources, and ensuring maintenance activities meet high-quality standards.

Your leadership will support our commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality (HSEQ) and Asset Management Systems (AMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver maintenance for bus and depot assets
  • Manage resources for optimal bus and asset performance
  • Conduct unscheduled repairs and attend breakdowns
  • Adhere to safety standards and manage stock levels
  • Address concerns and improve bus and depot asset planning
  • Liaise with management on compliance issues

About You:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Minimum 'MR' class licence and passenger transport authorisation
  • 5+ years experience in diesel mechanics with Translink QLD fleet vehicles or similar
  • Possess a forklift licence or ability to attain one
  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or related qualifications
  • High commitment to customer service and ethical practice
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a proactive attitude
