Rainforest and Kiwi Preservation Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated individual to participate in our rainforest and kiwi protection program. This is an unparalleled chance to contribute to the preservation of New Zealand's unique forests, home to the iconic kiwi bird and the giant kauri snail.
Main Responsibilities:- Create and maintain trails for safe wildlife observation
- Pest control to safeguard native species
- Native tree planting to restore ecosystems
- Wildlife monitoring to track population health
Gain hands-on experience in ecological restoration and sustainability efforts while working alongside staff in a non-profit organization. Develop valuable leadership and management skills, learning how to set up and manage a not-for-profit organization. Observe endangered species in their natural habitat, gain knowledge about sustainability and living off-grid, and experience self-discovery in remote settings.
Our sanctuary operates sustainably and off-grid, utilizing recycled materials. In partnership with the Department of Conservation, you will help monitor and protect native species, build trails, control pests, and restore habitats, with opportunities for leadership and organizational training.
