Electrical Engineering Leadership Role

As a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of major electrical engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure, including HV/EHV substations and transmission lines.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the engineering activities and technical design aspects of the projects, from concept to execution. This includes analysing electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs.

You will also be expected to foster a culture of teamwork within the engineering team and across the wider business to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing concept and detailed designs of electrical systems, including technical investigations and tender assessment.
  • Preparation of contract technical specifications and analysis of electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs.
  • Fostering a culture of teamwork to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on major energy projects (HV/EHV Substations, Transmission Lines, Renewable Energy).
  • Demonstrated expertise in detailed design and project delivery.
  • CPEng or eligibility to obtain.
  • Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering institution (e.g., Engineers Australia).
