Leadership Opportunity in Social Work at Edith Cowan University

We are seeking an outstanding academic leader to become our next Professor of Social Work, with a particular emphasis on regional and rural education and research.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide academic leadership in the discipline of Social Work, encompassing all aspects of academic development (teaching, research, and industry/community engagement).
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership to the social work program, ensuring its continued growth and excellence;
- Developing and implementing innovative research projects that address real-world problems and advance social justice;
- Mentoring and developing more junior colleagues while maintaining a strong research program;
- Collaborating with other senior leaders on innovative developments in related course and research programs;
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong commitment to regional and rural education, excellent leadership and collaboration skills, and a proven track record of achievement in teaching, research, and community engagement.
You will also have a PhD in social work or an equivalent closely related field and be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
