About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated Food Service Assistants to join our residential care team, where they will play a vital role in delivering nourishing meals that contribute to the health and well-being of our residents. This role requires strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and a genuine passion for working with older people.

About You:

  • A previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence
  • Alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to residents
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces
  • Collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility
  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards always
