The job involves operating plastic moulding machines to produce high-quality products. The operator will be responsible for setting up and running the machines according to schedule, ensuring that the products meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate injection moulding machines to produce plastic parts
  • Ensure proper set up of machinery, handling equipment, and other plastics manufacturing tools per training instructions or operating procedures and company regulations
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and repairs of manufacturing machines and tools per company standards
  • Deliver accurate training to machine tool operators on how to use the machines, according to safety protocols of the company
  • Identify, investigate, rectify, and report defects and non-conforming products
  • Route/service efficiency, timely reporting of issues, and sharing best practices on machine operations for plastics
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a die setter
  • 3 (Cert III or IV) in Polymers Technology or recognised equivalent skill
  • High-level skill in plastic injection moulding on automotive-grade products
  • Additional extrusion blow moulding is desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience in preventative & reactive maintenance of machines and production lines is desirable
  • Quality Management System knowledge
Benefits:

Two full-time positions available with a salary range of $65,000-$90,000 per annum. Location: NSW.
