This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Grade 2 Gerontology Physiotherapist with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in client care and education of staff and students in the physiotherapy stream.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of physiotherapy care and promote best practice across the geriatric evaluation and management wards.
- Assess and treat patients with complex older population needs, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and general physiotherapy cases.
- Supervise junior staff and provide guidance to physiotherapy students on placement.
- Significant experience resulting in high-level clinical skills in gerontology physiotherapy.
- Proven ability to manage complex older population patients in the subacute setting.
- Experience and/or interest in the education and supervision of undergraduate physiotherapy students and junior staff.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
